At the dawn of the 20th century, everything is changing… and anything is possible. Set in the volatile melting pot of New York, three distinctly American tales are woven together – that of a stifled but determined upper-class homemaker, an indomitable Jewish immigrant and a daring young Harlem musician – united by their courage and their pursuit of the American dream, against extraordinary odds. Ragtime was nominated for 13 Tony Awards and won for best score, book, and orchestrations. Called by Time Magazine “a triumph for the stage,” “Intoxicating” by the Associated Press, and “Explosive and thrilling!” by Bloomberg News, this acclaimed musical is an unflinching examination of human striving and a timeless celebration of the American spirit.
    PG-13 for some offensive language.

Young Will Shakespeare is stumped by a crippling case of writer’s block as he struggles to finish his new play. Unbeknownst to him, his muse is waiting in the wings—enter Viola De Lesseps, a theatre loving aristocrat who isn’t about to let her class or sex get in the way of her pursuits. Soon to be married off, and unwilling to accept her fate, she daringly dresses as a boy-player to win the role of Romeo in Will’s new play. As the two fall in love, a romantic comedy of errors and a whirlwind affair unfurls that will ultimately inspire the creation of Shakespeare’s tragic romantic masterpiece. Based on the highly acclaimed Academy Award-winning screenplay, this stage adaptation will be directed by Producing Artistic Director Patrick Mulcahy. PG-13.
