CALLING ALL FACULTY and PRINCIPALS - Grades K–12 in the Lehigh Valley:
Lehigh Valley Arts Council is currently conducting a regional survey in order to determine the state of arts-in- education in grades K–12 in the Lehigh Valley. Please consider joining our efforts!
All faculty and principals in 22 districts in Lehigh, Carbon, and Northampton counties are being asked to take part in a research study to measure the extent that the arts are implemented and taught in K–12 schools in the region. The survey includes questions about arts-in-education curriculum and arts-engagement within the school’s community. The survey will take approximately 15 minutes to complete.
Taking part in this study is completely voluntary. If you agree to be part of this study, we are asking you to fill out an online survey on Survey Monkey:

By participating you will be contributing to a comprehensive overview of the arts-in-education in the Lehigh Valley. If you complete the survey, you will receive a personal copy of the study results sent to the e-mail address you provide. In addition, The Lehigh Valley Arts Council will reward you with ARTix Passport, a buy one, get one free ticket voucher to 24 participating cultural organizations. Your answers will be confidential. This is an arts-in-education initiative of the Lehigh Valley Arts Council, and we are conducting this survey for the benefit of all art-in-education programs. The data that is collected will be analyzed in the aggregate, and no individual school or school district will be cited in the reporting. In order to ensure privacy, the records of this study will be kept in a locked file; only the researchers will have access to the records.
Deadline for completion of the survey is June 12, 2015.

Our arts-in-education program, Growing Up Arfully, continues to advocate for the integration of arts into the curriculum in order to improve and enhance education for all children. The work is only made possible through our partnerships with teaching artists, educators, cultural groups, parents, and business leaders who share this vision.
From 1998 to 2012, the Arts Council presented an annual arts-in-education conference that featured best practices and nationally-recognized leaders in the field. For the past three years,the
Growing Up Artfully event awarded local arts educators and schools for their outstanding programs.
The Lehigh Valley Arts Council also welcomed the Pennsylvania Arts Educators Association’s 2013 conference, Forging a Strong Future: Reflect, Refine, Reigniteto the Lehigh Valley. Additional online Arts-in-Education resources are linked below:
