Project Stream

Another year = another chance to create !

Mark your calendars for June 20, 2018 — the deadline for making application to the 2018–19 Pennsylvania Partners in the Arts (PPA) Project Stream.

The PPA Project Stream grant is very competitive and offers up to $2,500 to eligible individuals, community groups, and nonprofit organizations to conduct community focused arts activities.

in partnership with the Pennsylvania Council on the Arts, the Lehigh Valley Arts Council administers the PPA program in Lehigh, Northampton, and Carbon counties.

Twenty-six grants were awarded in 2017-18, and just like last year the amount of grant funding available will remain the same at $39,709.

In May 2018 the Arts Council will host three grant writing workshops, free to the public, designed to help prepare those interested in applying for a Project Stream grant with the goal of producing a community arts project. This is a great opportunity for folks to get feedback on their project ideas. Aspiring applicants are encouraged to attend an informational grant writing workshop for the Project Stream grant held in May each year. According to PPA Coordinator Zach Kleemeyer, “Applicants who attended last year generally scored higher than those who did not.” Please RSVP your intention to attend a session by sending an email to Zach at

Every year the Arts Council must select community leaders, artists, and arts professionals to serve the region as panelists to adjudicate the Project Stream applications.
