Arts Calendar

The Arts Calendar is produced by the Lehigh Valley Arts Council. In print, it is the go-to resource for arts and culture events in the three county region. This bi-monthly publication is distributed throughout the Lehigh Valley, both by direct mail to our members and hand-delivered to various organizations and businesses.

    Imagine using art to improve your community.
    What would you do?
    Who could you work with?
    How will your idea come to life?

    A grant of up to $2,500 is available to individuals, community groups, or nonprofit organizations seeking to impact the community by producing an art project in Lehigh, Northampton, or Carbon counties.

    Through a partnership with the Pennsylvania Council on the Arts, the Lehigh Valley Arts Council has secured nearly $40,000 for the 2019-20 PPA Project Stream granting season.

    In 2018, there were 33 grants distributed in the Valley with an average award amount of ~$1,200.

    *The PPA Project Stream grant is due on June 20, 2019*

    Each workshop is free to attend, identical in scope and will run from 4:00 pm to 5:30 pm.

    2018-19 PPA Project Stream Grant Writing Workshops:
    • Tuesday, May 7th at Anita Shapolsky Art Foundation – 20 W Broadway, Jim Thorpe, PA 18229
    • Thursday, May 9th at St. John’s Lutheran Church – 200 S Broad St, Nazareth, PA 18064
    • Wednesday, May 15th at Bradbury-Sullivan LGBT Community Center – 522 W Maple St, Allentown, PA 18101

    The focus of each workshop will be on reviewing the Project Stream grant’s guidelines and providing tips for preparing a successful application.

    Please RSVP your intention to attend a workshop by emailing Zach at PPA@LVArtsCouncil.org.
