Nancy Scott

It started with the open reading at Godfrey Daniels. I read two poems, as a blind writer reading from Braille. I didn’t die. Later, I got the call asking me to feature-read. That launched my career as a poet AND an advocate. Now, 750 career bylines later, I’ve worked with local newspapers, WDIY and mainstream and disability publications in audio and print to laugh and more importantly think about difference and connection and artistic courage.
