The creative instinct ignited in me at a very young age when my grandmother determined that doing arts & crafts projects had a certain calming affect on me.

As a business woman and artisan herself, she was an amazing lady who taught me about the order of things; color, line, texture, scale, creative expression, the human condition, the value of peace and so much more. We made things like tiny beads into flowers then into arrangements for doll houses, dioramas inside decorated eggs, little sculptures, ribbon projects etc. and every type of stitch for any type sewing need imaginable -from samplers to upholstery. My Grandmother instilled in me a true sense of appreciation for the finer things in life and the value of good design. Arts and crafts have always been a go to activity for peace of mind; it is what defines me.
