Arts Calendar

  • Although the arts are best experienced up close and personal, the spread of Covid-19 has required people to stay at a safe distance from others. Adapting to this new reality has many arts businesses expanding their digital foot print.
  • Now, we’ve assembled a new resource to highlight the virtual activities that our members are producing. Please page through the latest version of the Calendar Launch Pad on the right.

The Arts Calendar, the go-to resource for arts and culture events in the three county region, is produced by the Lehigh Valley Arts Council. Below on this page is a digital version of the calendar.

The exhibition includes works by Plains and Northwest Coast Native Americans, the artists of Gee’s Bend, Alabama, an African American community known for their abstract quilts, and the Shakers—a religious sect that made furniture expressing their values of simplicity and order. These works will be displayed alongside art and design inspired by these traditions. Through these case studies, Roots raises important questions about inspiration, appropriation, and identity.
